If its old or a budget friendly model this guide hopes to make your device feel a bit faster.
First thing we are going to do is get access to developer settings, These settings are typically hidden from users because they’re mostly used as diagnostic tools and can help app developers fix bugs, Today we are going to use them to disable UI animations to make the device operate smoother.
Go to: Settings>About Phone/Tablet> and tap the “Build Number” a bunch of times till the “you are now a developer!” message appears.
Now that we are developers go to the new developer options tab in the settings app. (Sometimes this will be hidden under system>advanced>developer options.)
Scroll down to the “Drawing” section, Change the following settings to: “Animation off” Window animation scale, Transition animation scale, and Animator duration scale.
Now when you open a close apps their will be no animations to bog down the processor. (this may also improve battery.)
If your device doesn’t use the google keyboard and has lag while typing i recommend installing it “Gboard.”
Hope this post made your device usable.
If you have any suggestions or know of other ways to improve android systems let me know.

P.S. This post is apart of a larger goal of saving unused devices from the trash. (More posts like this will start populating this blog.)
